Volunteer Counsellor

Our requirements are that counsellors need to be in personal therapy for 1 year minimum and their second year of a Diploma course and have one year of experience of working with clients (30-40 supervised client hours or equivalent experience) . Counsellors will need to work following the Person-Centred/Humanistic approach.

We are always interested in counsellors who have a commitment to this area of work. Woman's Trust has an application process for counsellors interested in placements - counsellors are able to work at different times including some evenings and weekends. Please note: because of the needs of women using our service the minimum commitment is 4 clients per week. Successful candidates will also need to attend the three day induction course.

The deadline for the application is Friday 24th of February; interviews will commence on the week of the 5^th of March and the training dates are the 20^th, 21^st and 22^nd March 2012.
