Counsellor Placement - Volunteer Position

Placements are available at Woman's Trust in East (Barking & Dagenham) and West London for students who are studying counselling or therapy. Intakes are scheduled about 2-3 times per year.

Our requirements are that counsellors need to be in personal therapy for 1 year minimum and their second year of a Diploma course and have one year of experience of working with clients (30-40 supervised client hours). Counsellors will need to work following the Person-Centred/Humanistic approach.

We are always interested in counsellors who have a commitment to this area of work. Please note: because of the needs of women using our service the minimum commitment is 4 clients per week. Successful candidates will also need to attend the three day induction course.
