Counsellor Placement - Volunteer Position

Placements are available at Woman's Trust in East and West London for students who are studying counselling or therapy. Intakes are scheduled about 2-3 times per year.

Our requirements are that counsellors need to be in personal therapy for 1 year minimum, to be in their second year of a Person-Centered/Humanistic Diploma course and eone year of experience of working with clients (minimum of 30 supervised one-to-one Counselling client hours or have equivalent experience ).

We are always interested in counsellors who have a commitment to this area of work. Woman's Trust has an application process for counsellors interested in placements - counsellors are able to work at different times including some evenings and weekends.

Please note: because of the needs of women using our service the minimum commitment is 4 clients per week. Successful candidates will also need to attend the three days induction course. A refundable deposit of £150 will be charged prior to the beginning of the training period. This ammount will be refunded after one year (45 weeks) contract. 

Applications must be in by Friday 4th February 2011. Interviews will take place week begining 8th February2011.                                                      

Training course will take place on Tuesday  15th, Wednesday 16th and Thursday 17th March 2011.
