Counsellor Placement - Volunteer Position

Placements are available at Woman's Trust in East and West London for students who are studying counselling or therapy. Intakes are scheduled about 2-3 times per year.

Our requirements are that counsellors need to be in personal therapy for 1 year minimum, to be in their second year of a Person-Centered/Humanistic Diploma course and have one year of experience of working with clients (minimum of 30 supervised one-to-one Counselling client hours).

We are always interested in counsellors who have a commitment to this area of work. Woman's Trust has an application process for counsellors interested in placements - counsellors are able to work at different times including some evenings and weekends.

Please note: because of the needs of women using our service the minimum commitment is 4 clients per week. Successful candidates will also need to attend the three days induction course. A refundable deposit of £150 will be charged prior to the beginning of the training period. This ammount will be refunded after one year (45 weeks) contract. 

Shortlisting for the next intake will be on the week of the 10th May 2010. Interviews will take place in the week of the 24th May 2010. The next course will take place on Wednesday  9th June, Thursday 10th June and Friday 11th June 2010.
