The counselling service is open to all women who are, or have been affected by domestic violence. Woman’s Trust can advise and refer women who do not fall into this category to other services.

We accept referrals directly from women or through a third party with their consent.

Counselling sessions offer a time to explore feelings and talk through difficulties in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment.

Counsellors are professionally trained in giving specialist support to help women cope when they are feeling depressed, bad about themselves or confused and unsure of how to deal with what is happening in their life. All Woman’s Trust counsellors are women. Woman’s Trust counselling provides time to talk in confidence about what is happening in your life with another woman who is aware of the kind of issues that may be troubling you.

Counsellors do not give advice but try to help and support you to find solutions that are right for you. Sessions are confidential - this means that Woman’s Trust does not give out personal information about women who use our service or what you discuss with the counsellor. Counselling is offered at the same time each week with the same counsellor for a 50 minutes session.  We offer sessions over 18 weeks but you may be offered more if you think it would help you. The Service is open to women London wide.
