From 1^st July 2011 Woman’s Trust will no longer be the provider of the IDVA (Advocacy )services in Westminster & Kensington and Chelsea. The new contract was warded by the Local authorities Westminster and RBKC to organisationAdvocacy and Non-Violence Community Education (Advance).

Woman’s Trust IDVA service will continue to support existing cases and will still accept new referrals until the 30^th June 2011. All new clients and clients whose cases are currently active have been informed of the change and tranferred on to the new provider. Advance will take over the existing 24 hour helpline number 07747 080 964.

Woman’s Trust will be able to continue the support of clients who are going through the civil or criminal court by our Court IDVA in Westminster and RBKC. Funding to provide this service has been secured for the next three years from the Ministry of Justice. This service will ensure that clients are informed and supported through the court procedures, including pre-trial visits and ensuring special arrangements are offered.
